Head of Private Client - Cardiff - Bristol

HCB Widdows Mason is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Private Client to lead in personalised legal services for our private client department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to shape and grow our Private Client practice, ensuring exceptional client care and service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Grow, lead, manage and mentoring the Private Client department, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Building and maintaining a strong client portfolio, providing expert advice on wills, trusts, estates, and probate matters.
• Developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the practice and expand our client base.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and industry regulations.
• Conducting regular reviews of team performance and client satisfaction, implementing improvements where necessary.
• Representing the firm at networking events, seminars, and other business development opportunities.
• Collaborating with other departments to identify cross-referral opportunities and promote integrated services.
• Overseeing fee management, budgeting, and financial performance of the department.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a leadership role within a Private Client context.
• Razor sharp business development skills.
• Strong knowledge of private client law, including wills, trusts, and probate.
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement growth strategies.
• Proficient in compliance and regulatory matters.
• Strong communication and networking abilities.
• Relevant legal qualifications and a solid track record of client service excellence.
